Bottle Opener / Pipe Tamper - Machined Brass or Copper - Only 2 Left!
Steve Robbins, of Fiddle Foundry, is known in the EDC community as a maker of really cool spinning tops, coins, and other machined goodies. In addition, he just happens to be a pipe smoker. So, when he reached out to me last year to make him a Signature Pipe Pouch, I checked out his stuff and asked him if he could make me a combination Pipe Tamper/Bottle Opener because, why the hell not?
I often like a good brew with a pipe (who doesn't?), and, nowadays, there are so many cool things to carry, it can get a little heavy in the pockets, unless you get creative. (Also, I've been known to collect a pipe tamper, or two...or twenty).
So, with Steve's skills, he came up with these beautifully machined Bottle Opener/Pipe Tampers. Made from Solid Copper or Brass, so they've got a nice weight, and now, you can carry a bottle opener in the tamper pocket of your Sorringowl pipe pouch (see what I did there?)
The copper version is hand hammered and has an antique finish, and the brass version is knurled, and turns to a really mellow antique brass with time and use. Both have a good grip, feel good in the hand, and are a pleasure to use, whether you're tamping a pipe, or breaking open a brewski (or preferably, both!)
